Contextual Narrative Working Paper for IJC Upper Great Lakes Study
CJS has been retained by the International
Joint Commission to prepare a "Contextual Narrative" of the Coastal Zone
Riparian Interest Group for the IJC's International Upper Great Lakes
Study. The Contextual Narrative will provide a summary of the key
characteristics of the riparian interest based on existing and available
data and information. The Contextual Narrative will serve as a guiding
document for the Coastal Zone Working Group. More information on the
Upper Great Lakes Study can be found

April 2007 - CJS Completes Scoping Paper and
Literature Review for IJC International Upper Great Lakes Study
CJS has recently completed a comprehensive
Scoping Paper that provides a comprehensive review of the range of data,
reports, GIS data and other background information that is available for
use by the Coastal Task Working Groups (CTWG) and other working groups
within the IJC International Upper Great Lakes Study (IUGLS). The report
is intended to serve as a guide to the CTWG for the identification of
the key data sets and approaches that are available for analysis of
coastal zone impacts and the identification of the key agencies and
organizations who hold this data. It will highlight a range of existing
studies and data sets that have been completed in the past that can
perhaps be “leveraged” for use in the IUGLS, and using this information,
will provide the CTWG with initial guidance and direction as to the
approach they should take to address an analysis of coastal zone impacts
within the timeframe and budget that is available.
