Coastal areas throughout the world have always been some of the most popular destinations for tourists and recreationists. A quick glance at many of the familiar tourist "hot spots" (e.g., the Caribbean Islands, Florida, the French Riviera, Hawaii) reveals a focus around the various amenities that beaches, coastal landforms, and coastal resorts in these areas provide. As the coastal population grows, so too does the need for additional facilities and areas for coastal recreation, and hence the need to carry out studies of the impacts and potential impacts that recreation and tourism activities may cause. Staff and Associates of Christian J. Stewart Consulting can provide a range of services that will assist in the careful planning of the coast for recreation and tourism based activities. These include:

User Surveys
Carrying Capacity Studies
Recreation and Tourism Impact Assessment
Coastal and Marine Park Planning
Interpretation and Education
